At St. Hilda’s, there is a place for every age group be it the toddlers to the senior citizens. The life of the church is seen in the love and care demonstrated by our committed volunteers each week. Cradle Club The cradle club is a place for babies till 4 years old. It is here that they are cared for and told stories from the bible. Each week is a hive of activity where we see these children crawling and playing in a safe environment, where songs and laughter ring out. The Cradle club is situated at the grond floor near the children’s toilets. They have their own room which is catered for babies and young children. Praise Club When children reach 5, they are graduated to the praise club, where they are taught simple stories from the bible. As they are more aware of their surroundings and most are in kindergarten, teachers here do activities to teach each week’s lesson. Each time one goes to the praise club, you will surely see the children either running around playing games or furiously colouring away at story boards or raptured by the stories that the teachers tell. It is a place that adults wish they could return to. The praise club is found on the ground floor in the hall next to the sanctuary. Kids for Christ Kids for Christ is the place where our children begin to learn more about God. The environment is one where children between the ages of 7-12 gather each week for a time of worship and then into their groups. KFC as it is most intimately referred to as has various themes throughout the year where certain aspects of the word of God and God’s character are taught and emphasized. It is at KFC that children begin to understand more about God and the Christian life. Look for the door labeled KFC and you will find the hall where the children and their group of committed teachers meet each Sunday. Classes begin at 10am. Victory Kids Victory kids happens on Sunday afternoons. The vision for the victory kids is to provide a place where children from the community, the St. Hilda’s Kindergarten, and the neighbourhood could experience a fun filled environment. Each Sunday afternoon is an exciting session of games and song and dancing and stories. You can tell the volunteers by the colourful costumes and loud voices emanating from the Betel hall each week at 2pm till 4pm. |
